MICRODERMABRASION TREATMENTS

Microdermabrasion is a method of superficial removal of stratum corneum and efficient reduction of fine lines and wrinkles in the eye area, facial spots and acne scars. This treatment stimulates skin cells and collagen regeneration. Treatment includes superficial shallow abrasion of epidermis. Microdermabrasion can be combined with chemical peel which increases the effect.
Duration of the treatment is around 30 minutes. Treatments need to be repeated 4 to 12 times at intervals of 2 to 3 weeks.
INDICATIONS
Microdermabrasion stimulates skin cells regeneration and activates creation of collagen fibers. This treatment solves problems like fine wrinkles around the eyes, pigment spots and small dents in the skin created by acne. After the treatment, skin looks generally fresh and healthy. Treatment doesn’t cause any pain, and it doesn’t have to be done in local anesthesia.
PREOPERATIVE PREPARATION
Patient must not apply any creams or put make up before the treatment. Face must be clear.
POSTPROCEDURAL TREATMENT
Sunlight must be avoided after the treatment; it can cause irritations and additional pigmentations. Face calms within a few weeks, after that face can be exposed to the sun. Recovery depends on the patient’s skin, it usually lasts between 1 to 7 days.
