LIP AUGMENTATION CANDIDATES
The most ideal candidates for lip augmentation are persons with asymmetric and thin lips. Also, individuals who most commonly have thin upper lip. Or persons with fine "smoker's" wrinkles around the mouth.
LIP AUGMETATION PROCEDURE
Lip augmentation is performed in local anesthesia in outpatient conditions. Lip enhancement and modeling can be performed through injection of resorptive (hyaluronic acid) or nonresorptive fillers (PMMA), own fatty tissue, parts of fascia, muscles or dermis.
POSTOPERATIVE TREATMENT
Recovery is quick and lasts one to two days after the procedure. It is necessary to use cold compresses because they help in speeding up swelling reduction.
COMPLICATIONS
Although complications are very rare, they can manifest by mild swelling of the lips. Scars are unable to be seen.
